Everything! All of the staff were warm and welcoming and always greeted you with a smile. I liked the breakfast buffet, it was very generous and there was a great selection of juices and vegetables. I liked the fresh air in the rooms as you could open the windows, I liked the new furnishings, the tea and coffee, the towels were soft and fluffy, the sheets were smooth and felt silky, great pillows and the door had additional security to make solo travellers feel safe. You were also provided with soap, a shaver, toothbrush and the usual shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturising cream - and they all smelt fabulous! I also liked the concierge and having staff at the door also made you feel safe. Everyone I spoke to was awesome! Housekeeping even called me at 8pm to see if I needed anything because I had “do not disturb”on my door for most of the day as I was leaving the following morning and didn’t need anything. Now that is what I call exemplary service!

I was hesitant booking this hotel because of the 8.5 rating however I am so glad that I did. We had a better experience here than in some five star hotels we stayed at. At checkin they asked us if we were staying for an occasion and when I mentioned it was my husband’s birthday they upgraded us and delivered a bottle of wine to our room with chocolates - it honestly made our stay! Throughout our stay the staff were so polite and professional - anytime we walked through the lobby staff went out of their way to greet us/hold doors open etc. Amazing breakfast selection, thankfully we had it included (as otherwise it was quite expensive). They had lovely Indian breakfast options which we ordered just to try - but they turned out even better than the regular breakfast! If staying again I would definitely recommend opting for these!

My stay at St. James’ Court, A Taj Hotel, London was absolutely outstanding. The accommodation was excellent, with a beautifully maintained room that provided both comfort and luxury. The service was impeccable—the staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was a delight, offering a variety of high-quality options that made for a perfect start to the day. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from Buckingham Palace and within easy reach of central London. I honestly can’t find a single fault with my experience, and I would gladly return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!

It was OK!! Breakfast was very manic with not enough space for everyone… the breakfast area was very cramped as well which did not help… no decaf tea so take your own if you use it… queues for the one coffee machine… had to keep asking for cutlery! Room was very nice - premium … very good walk in shower as I find the bath showers are not that great and are dangerous. All in all it was as I said OK … glass of house Chardonnay £20!! Very pricy in the restaurants… great location and close to tube station for circle..

When we arrived our initial ex king room did not meet our expectations as per our booking and the window was opaque and did not open, so the front desk clerk Privanka was very accommodating and upgraded us to a suite immediately once she checked our booking. This suite had 2 very large windows, overlooking the courtyard that was very lovely. All staff were very professional, courteus and very friendly. We had a very comfortable stay.
